The Millennia Master features many of the finest elements in a classic boardroom style timepiece. The gentle curves of its tonneau-shaped case design is enhanced by a curved Krysterna crystal, which slightly magnifies the beautiful skeletonized dial. The circular opening shows the most important aspects of the watchΓÇÖs movement, from the balance wheel to the mainspring; it allows everyone to appreciate the intricacies of a mechanical automatic timepiece. The Millennia Master also features individually hand-applied baton style indices and skeletonized hands. Outfitted with a stitched alligator embossed genuine leather strap, it makes for a comfortable and stylish fit on your wrist.
The Millennia Family is part of the Leisure Collection, which features one of Stuhrling Original's most iconic designs. Members of this family feature a bold tonneau-style case with skeletonized dials that show off their delicate movements. Those that feature a round case design have beautiful record-style bezels with Stuhrling "S" screws.
Krysterna Crystals
Krysterna is proprietary to St├╝hrling Original and refers to the crystals that are used in its timepieces. Krysterna stems from the eyewear industry and has more strength over a spread surface area than sapphire. Krysterna crystals are more scratch resistant than mineral crystals and more shatter resistant than sapphire crystals.

ΓÇó Movement: Manual/Self-Winding Automatic Movement
Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.
Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).
ΓÇó Complications: Classic Three Hand Movement
ΓÇó Dial: Hydraulically Stamped Diamond Pattern
ΓÇó Hands: Skeletonized Hands with Luminous Tips
ΓÇó Markers: Individually Applied Baton Style Markers with Luminous Fill

The Stuhrling Original Millenia Story
Stührling Original’s Millennia Family of fine timepieces represents the brand’s foray into the world of cutting edge design in the 21st Century. The initial case design of the Millennia was a wine cask shaped case (tonneau), symbolic of extravagance in the watch world. Yet the shape of the case is but a minor part of the story here, as the more supercilious indications of arrogance are the detailing and finishing of the Millennia watch case. With wide triple grooves that have been cut into the case sides purely for aesthetics, the manufacturing operation for each and every Millennia case requires extreme engineering and extraordinary craftsmanship. As the Millennia Family of timepieces has evolved, round case models have also been included to join the hoity-toity look of the 21st Century!
